Who are we?
Waterbridge Capital is a specialist private equity operation with
international interests in the areas of financial services, IT &
telecommunications, security and outsourcing.
It is focused on business transformation by way of consummating
leveraged buyout acquisitions as well as through start-up companies
that deliver technological innovation to traditional, legacy-based
operations.
It is headed by Steve Berry who has over 25 years
international business experience that includes starting and floating
various companies, holding executive and non-executive directorships,
including
Unison Capital Holdings, one of Japan's largest private equity
companies.
Steve’s background is finance, working in capital and securities
markets for over 10 years in New York, London and Tokyo for Bankers
Trust Company. This period in international banking was followed by
private equity venturing, a focus that is retained to the present day.
Steve gained an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1979 and a BSc in
Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in
1976.
Kevin Riches is a partner at Waterbridge. He has over 25 years experience in start-up and
mature businesses, both large and small, in sectors ranging from IT and
communications through environmental and finance to PFI in hospitals and
education.
With a track record as a change agent, Kevin brings to Waterbridge a
mature network of business leaders, contacts and partners. His recent successful business engagements include SpinVox, Dennis
Publishing, Carteme, Phones 4 U and PTS Consulting.
Kevin is passionate about value creation, often at a consumer level,
and typically delivered via B2B relationships.
Rosemary Forsyth is a partner at Waterbridge. She has been the General Partner of the Forsyth Group since she founded the company in 1981 with a focus on emerging technology markets. Rosemary has extensive search experience at "C", VP, Director and Board level assignments for technology companies across the UK, Europe and the USA.
Rosemary has made a number of angel investments including www.net-a-porter.com, www.sokoz.com, www.johnharwooddesign.com and is a Limited Partner in www.seedcamp.com.
Rosemary holds a Master’s degree and M.Litt degree in Psychology. Rosemary sits on the Board of Aberdeen University Sixth Century Campaign Board and the Board Of Governors for www.schoolcommunicationarts.com and is also an advisor to www.talentpuzzle.com and www.bravenewtalent.com.
Jeannine Athas is a partner at Waterbridge. She is a results-oriented executive with over 25 years diverse experience in both U.S. and European technology markets with a track record in uncovering, initiating and growing business opportunities. With a wide international network, she is recognized for establishing long-term, successful and profitable commercial relationships.
Based in London and Silicon Valley, Jeannine has business fluency in 6 languages. She holds an INSEAD MBA; Middlebury College MA, Spanish Literature; and is a Fulbright Scholar.
Jeannine's professional alliances include: SDForum: International SIG and International Coordinator; FEW&E, Europe; Entwine Global and other advisory roles.
Arjun Jassal is the interactive media manager at Waterbridge Capital.
He works on media strategy, and, creation and management of communities online.
Prior to this he was working as a journalist covering emerging internet and social
media and working with a start up 3D immersive environment.
Arjun received a Masters in Science, with distinction, in Communication, Information and Society (Research)
from the London School of Economics. He also has a background in engineering, science
and technology journalism and content production.
